AKB48 is a pentyl indazole with structural similarity to the synthetic cannabinoids (CBs) JWH 018 adamantyl carboxamide and STS-135 , which have been sold for recreational use.1 Generally, quinolones with adamantyl-carboxamide moieties display high affinity for the peripheral cannabinoid (CB2) receptor but greatly reduced affinity for the central cannabinoid (CB1) receptor.2 AKB48 N-(4-fluorobenzyl) analog is an AKB48 derivative in which the pentyl chain has been replaced with a 4-fluorobenzyl group in order to mimic a structural feature of the potent CB1modulator AB-FUBINACA (Item No. 14039). The physiological properties of this compound are not known. This product is intended for research and forensic applications.
FUB-APINACA (also known as FUB-AKB48) is an indazole-based synthetic cannabinoid that is presumed to be a potent agonist of the CB1 receptor and has been sold online as a designer drug.[1] It is an analogue of APINACA and 5F-APINACA where the pentyl chain has been replaced with fluorobenzyl.
